We sent our son to Hunter Mill for three years and it was a fantastic experience. Everyone there is just wonderful. They are all very warm and really care for the children. We've been to other schools where the staff was cold to the children and parents. It was our son's home away from home. We saw him progress dramatically year after year. We are big believers in the Montessori method and our son is by far more prepared to go in to elementary school because of his experience at Hunter Mill.

Sending our children to Hunter Mill was one of the best decisions we've made. The environment is warm and nurturing, and there is a real sense of community among the families. The Montessori program is top-notch, and our kids continually surprise and amaze us with what they've learned and, more importantly, with the attitude of self-confidence, respect for others, and love of learning new things that has been cultivated in them by the Montessori methodology and the way it is lovingly implemented by their teachers. For a school of only about 40 students, there is an incredible amount of diversity, and it is celebrated by the children and their teachers. We thank Hunter Mill for giving our children a wonderful start to their school years. My only regret is that it ends at kindergarten - I wish my kids could stay until high school!

I worked at this school as an assistant and teacher in training. I am now a mother and teacher in California. I wish my daughter was attending Hunter Mill. I have unfortunately not found a school for my daughter to be near the standard of Hunter Mill. As a former employee, I know the 'behind the scenes' duties and standards and they are exemplary. Hunter Mill individualizes lessons to each childs needs and abilities. They are flawless in providing a safe and enriching environment. The teachers are accessible and flexible. I am proud to have been a part of their community and regret our move for one reason only - I feel our daughter has missed a great early childhood opportunity in Northern Virginia. Hunter Mill stands out !
