I am a parent and a former student. T.R. Miller is known across the state for their academics, athletic programs (not just football) and a great band! We have the best quarterback club in the state which supports all sports. Our parents are awesome and just like the students, have TIGER pride!

Overall I think that this school is a good choice for your kids. The only complaint I have is the condition of the buildings. They really need some renovations or build a new school all together. They have an excellent football program and great teachers.

This School is good for what you have to choose from. I am not a fan of the lunch program. Currently local fast food businesses come and sell food on the school campus. It's not the healthies choice. It would be nice to offer a traditional cafeteria instead of McDonald's, SubWay, or Pizza Hut. This school does not allow students from different races to attend prom as couples. The South needs to catch up with modern times. Only in Alabama could this be allowed.

Academics are slightly above average, the football and band programs help keep the school spirit high and the city supports the schools better than average for Alabama. As with most smaller schools there are limitations for the most talented students. If compared to public schools in south Alabama T R Miller gets an 'A'.
