My son is on the spectrum for Autism and was recently enrolled in preschool. I can tell he is loved and taken care of. It has been a challenge transitioning from Birth to Three Early Intervention because we had so much one and one involvement. The PPT process in the school is a great tool but it does not have the same level of personal involvement. I am learning what I need to do to stay more involved and the school seems very willing to make the accomodation for it to all work. It is an overwhelming process but I must be an advocate for my son.

My son has special needs and has made a lot of progress this year (first grade). His teacher, special ed. teacher, and guidance counselor are great. Always making themselves available for my frequent questions. Even daily updates on how his day went!
