Malibu High School

Another school year has just begun and I am again reminded that Malibu HS really is a great school - for so many reasons. This is a pretty small school even though it combines middle and high school students together on the campus. The kids do have separate lunches and passing periods but you do get the sense of community. Great job...

I adore this school. The teachers and staff are amazing. They are all very supportive and helpful and the campus is absolutely beautiful. The math program at Malibu High is fantastic, it's very advanced but they also have classes for kids who don't comprehend math as well too. If you live in the Malibu area and your child is going to be going into middle school, don't choose a fancy private school, send them to Malibu High.

I am the mom of a 9th grade girl. This school obtained a distinguished school award in 2005 however the school has disappointed us. There is a problem with cyber bullying at this school. Even though this is an ongoing problem, the administration has done little to address this problem. Also there are problems with security at the school. The school has just restarted the 'parent eyes' program, where parents patrol the school during school hours. Hopefully this will help address the security issues.
