I'm a parent who's extremely satisfied with Enfield High School's academics and social and community involvement. We're actually from Greenwich, CT when we finally moved into Enfield due to my husband getting a better position at UTC. We were skeptical at first: Hartford County isn't exactly full of affluent communities and we were skeptical too about Enfield's Public School system. However, my daughter has been at Enfield High School for three years and has loved the lack of cliques and cultural divisions. The teachers are loving and compassionate and always willing to help students in need. The student to teacher ratio is surprisingly low. Extracurricular activities are abundant. The community of Enfield itself is just wonderful. Everybody is pleasant and polite. It's inspiring to see the whole town helping with community service activities, especially the school, which I've seen has a very high level of community service involvement.

I graduated from EHS a few years back, and the time I spent in that school might be some of best days in my past. Sure it might have needed a face lift, but the teachers were calm, patient, and there for you when you needed them. That's what makes a school, not walls, floors, and windows.
My son attends EHS and the teachers their are very professional and I feel they are doing a wonderful job. My son is a honor student and is doing very well academically.
