My daughter went to this school and got teased. And the principle and teachers didn't get envovled. Horrible
Bird school is one of the best! They strive for excellence in all areas, developing the whole child - academically, socially and within the community. It is a very strong community which lends to a great environment for the kids. Tons of parental involvement in the school. They also do employee innovative teaching techniques to get the kids engaged and motivated. Now that I am in another state, I only wish our new school could compare to Bird. The only minor drawback is the school is small - but that does not detract from the academics or social development of children.
The quality of academics is very high at Bird Elementary. My husband and I relocated from the greater Boston area where the schools were considered the best in the nation. In my opinion, Bird School ranks just as high on academics, while still managing to incorporate creativity and fun in learning. My kids enjoy it here more than the east coast. We are very happy with the staff, principle and parent support. The only negative is that the facility is overcrowded and the leadership on a district level seems to be somewhat weak (not responsive, not parent friendly).
