I contemplated with taking my son to public schools. I knew that private would be expensive, but I just couldn't see taking him to a huge class where I felt that he would get lost. He's now in the Kindergarten class at St. John's with only 5 other students. The money is no issue once you see what this school does for your child. He was reading within weeks and behaves better than I've ever seen him. I was having real concerns with him settling down in a serious class environment, but this was no issue for him here. I love this school and will definitely be bringing my youngest child here when she turns 5. One visit to this school and you too will be convinced!
My child entered this school in 2nd grade from a public school. He was tested in the public school as being a full year behind in reading & math as compared to average second graders. St. John's proposed specialized lesson plans & tutoring that brought my child up to grade level by the beginning of third grade. It was a lot of hard work and requires a team effort and parent involvment. My child is currently in his last year of fourth grade at St. John's. He is now self-motivated, has good self-confidence and takes pride in his work. He has an A average, performs on grade level, and above grade level for reading comprehension. The school uses the national standards of the Iowa Test Scores. Our family plans to start our youngest child in kindergarten at St. John's Episcopal Primary School.
