The quality of education the children at PS 78 receive is excellent. The principal believes in educating the whold child and proves this with the curriculum and programs he provides before, during, and after school. My child can be enriched before school, participate in music, art, technology, physical education, receive top notch instruction in reading, writing, and math, have a teacher who works hands on with the children in science--all during the school day. He can also be part of the Renzulli Schoolwide Enrichment Model and computer component-- My child takes virtual tours around the world. After school, my child can cook, take photography, fitness/yoga, learn another language, and also get extra academic support if needed. I commend the principal, teaching staff, and parent community for providing our children with a nurturing and exciting place to learn. This school is a gift.

PS78 was a great school. My daughter graduated from the school in 2006 and now is going to Townsend Harris. The principle was different then, but all in all it has remained the same. Ps.78 has a beautiful location and serves great to all those who live at the edge od queenes in LIC. 'I really loved the teachers and since it was a really small school most of th kids were like my best friends' my daughter says

My daughter has been at PS 78 since she was in the 2nd grade. She's now a 5th grader about to graduate and I'm so grateful that we got so lucky as to have such a terrific neighborhood school. The school has a wonderful atmosphere both physically and in terms of the warm and creative learning environment of the school. The school has strong leadership so teachers are free to do their jobs. Teachers at this school seem to really enjoy the students and there are lots of extras -- after school programs, field trips, in class projects, etc., especially considering this is such a small school. I would recommend PS 78 to any parent of a grade school age child.
