Overall this school is pretty good. The teachers care about the students and they work hard to achieve the best test scores possible. More parent involvement is needed at this school.

This is a great school. My son has been here since K and is now in the 4th grade and my youngest just started K. I moved from Polk county where the school was horrible in every way. So if you are thinking of moivng in this area this is a great school.

Excellent programs for those needing extra help. Saw more improvement in our son in summer program then two yrs at another school. At previous SCPS we had to ask for everything at AES they offer to help and work with you.

this is my daughter's 2nd year. her k teacher was amazing but overall i am not happy. the administration seems dissatisfied and it shows. they are aloof and never seem to smile for anything. the other dividend parents seem very pretentious and i don't believe the school does enough to foster parent involvement. maybe it's all florida schools, but i do not see any effort to allow the teachers to teach on different levels; all children are taught the same no matter what their level of intelligence. if your child happens to be brighter than the current material, prepare for them to be bored. not enough extracirricular activities that stretch and nurture imaginative thinking. i have personally seen children treated very badly by staff. labeling children is apparent and instead of addressing the bad behavior, they discipline the 'bad' child.
