One of my three children went here for four years and had a wonderful experience. The other two went to a different school as we lived in a different state. I believe the lack of communication comment can really be attributed to most Montessori classrooms. Communication becomes difficult because the names of things ( pink tower) do not mean anything to most parents. Chesterbrook, however, does have 4 'back to school' classes per year for the parents to understand things better. They also have a wonderful Yoga program for the afternoon kids.

All 3 of my kids attended for ages 3-5. Don't miss the special kindergarten year, where the kids play an adorable leadership role, and gain manners, confidence, and compassion for their little classmates.

My child attends the AF campus of Chesterbrook. I love the school and the environment. I beileve the teachers are genuinely interested in the well being of every child. Ms Irene really takes the time to understand each child. Since this is a new campus there are a few communication kinks to be worked out, like short notice on a few events. But otherwise you can't go wrong.

Now that my child is in third grade, I really appreciate what Chesterbrook did for him as a pre-schooler. Some of the first and second grade material never caught up to what he was doing when he left Chesterbrook He was reading at a third or fourth grade level entering first grade, and now reads at a seventh grade level. More importantly, through all the 'tell me about yourself projects' in first and second grade, my son repeatedly lauded Chesterbrook as his favorite school time. The classroom was warm and inviting and the Montessori atmosphere encouraged curiosity and intellectual exploration. My only regret was it didn't extend past pre-school.
