I needed to add one thing. I really would like to see the scool to encourage our kids to be envolved all around. I do not feel they should be made to choice between music or sports. I think the music program would greatly bennifit if kids would not have to choose. My husband and I both have agreed that we want are kids to be well rounded. If they want to do music and sports we would pay for private lessons for music. This does not limit them and they can try both.
My children attend this school, am really pleased with the education they are getting. I like the smaller classroom and there one on one attention they get. They are willing to help each and every one. The community is very much involved with the school activities. I encouraged families with children to send their children there. I have had many chances to move but have not do to the quality of the school system.
The educational quality of Afton Elementary is extremely disappointing. I am glad to say my child is transferring to a quality school this fall.
