My daughter is a straight A student who was student body secretary at her other school. She moved into this school in eight grade. She found the students to be intimidating and unfriendly. Her dad went to speak with the counselor about the way other students were treating her, and the fact that she had not been able to make any friends in the first month of school. The counselor's solution was to plan a lunch meeting with her and some of her classmates. We thought this was a great idea until the couselor started the meeting with we are gathered here today because ... has no friends. Our child was humiliated.

Personally knowing quite a few teachers and seeing the time & commitment given to attain the high standards required of them, we count ourselves blessed they are there. One of the highest accolades a teacher can receive is when a student compliments them. Our son has had numerous teachers that he has actually liked. This is extraordinary, as most kids don t even like school, much less the teachers. We have seen first hand how that can equate to good grades. Our son has been on the Special Recognition List (4.0 GPA) every semester of his middle school education (well, all of his education thus far). We are proud of this school and its staff and hope that his high school education, starting next year, will prove just as affluent.

My son has really taken an interest in science since attending this school His 7th grade science teacher not only teaches the concepts he needs to know, but provides many opportunities for him to apply his knowledge. The lab activities and the projects she assigns show that she is willing to take science to the next level and go beyond the book. This program has done wonders for my child.

I have pulled my son from this school and opted to homeschool him. After it became obvious that he was not learning and was in fact afraid to attend this school. He attended for 3 semesters and was failing in all of his classes. Previously he was a straight 'A' student.
