My child is in the Kindergarten class and I really like the teacher. She is great at quickly assessing the needs of her students and is a good match for both those who are struggling and advanced. Curriculum could be more challenging and have options for differentiated learning but that is beyond the control of the teachers. The faculty seem to work with the limitations they have however. The BEST thing about the school is how truly caring the staff and faculty are. The school secretary seems to know all the students and the faculty seem to really work together.

At the end of day, my child is happy and thrieving at this school. He comes home excited about his science lessons, shares his knowledge about patterns and enjoys the activities in p.e. I am not worried if the curriculm is challenging or boring for him- I'm a working parent with no time on my hands to see things half empty. The bottom line is, I support my child's classroom teacher as I feel she is giving 100% to every child regardless of learning levels. Finally, my child's classmates represent a rich diversity of backgrounds which in itself serve as valuable lessons of life that outweigh any test scores. It's all about values and priorities.

My grandson attended Burbank Elementary School and I found the school to be simply average. The level of parent of parent involvement is not exceedingly high, and the quality of academic programs seems to depend on which teacher your child gets. There is an annual Christmas program in which all grade levels participate, but other than that, I am not aware of any other programs.
