This is a great school! The teachers are highly educated and it doesn't matter which program you choose! The same curriculum is taught in both the IB program as well as the Academy of Technology program. The IB program is not the same as the Riverview IB program so don't be swindled!
Brookside is a terrible school for gifted children. My child goes there and is unchallenged,unenthused,and can't wait until next year starts. Hopefully,the teachers will be better suited for bright kids and not focus entirely on negative reenforcement, rather be more encouraging and more positive. This isn't kindergarten and they should not be treated like it is.Some teachers should treat the students with a little bit more respect and they, in return, might get some back. There are a couple of teachers that are good, but the overall experience here has been awful.
Brookside is awesome and i highly recommend it. IB is awesome and we have great activities for student who get 3.0 gpa and higher! also great after school programs and staff!
