Clarendon High School is a low-income school, but the administration does a good job with the funds that are available. There is a lot of technology here that can't be found in other Arkansas schools. There are smartboards in every room and laptops available to the students. Most of the staff are dedicated and top-notch. The music and art departments receive more than adequate funding. However, there are also flaws. I've had lots of supplies taken from my classroom, some student work has been vandalized, and I've witnessed many fights. Our principal has dealt with these issues well. The school is in academic distress, but is working toward proficiency and making progress. Like all schools, it has its good points and bad points, but more good than bad I think.
I am very pleased with Clarendon High.We have a wonderful principal,Mr.Caldwell.He is a man of his word.He keeps our kids in line and don't take any mess from them. The only real problem i have is the math satilite class. The t.v. doesn't work more than half the time and there is no teacher to teach them. How are our children going to be ready for college if they don't have someone to teach them what they need to know because it's been to long for me to teach them especially when they don't have a book to go by and no teacher. Please help our children out!!!!!

Clarendon School is awsome. the teachers do an excelent job and we have an outstanding pricipal Mr.Doug Caldwell.
