this school is one of the better high schools in the county. administrative staff are nice, cafeteria staff are excellent, and some teachers are nice. they are definitely 'sol' bound. meaning everything they do is sol related. VERY HIGH ON SPORTS EXCEL IN ALL SPORTS ACTIVITIES....

There is barely any fights, Our academics are all good with 95% or so passing sols, for the short time our school has been open we have had a good athletic program.

Safe school with a lot of opportunities. That being said, if you're looking for a challenge for your child look elsewhere. Coming from an '06 grad who has been through college: The parents run this school. Teachers are afraid to give students grades they deserve because parents demand their child receive high grades to attend top universities. The emphasis is on grades, not education. I can honestly say I was not very well prepared for college by most of the teachers in this school, and was able to breeze through without learning much of anything. With that being said, I had a great time and never felt unsafe. Send your kid here if you want them to go to college, send them elsewhere if you want them to get a good education.

My child is excelling at school, because of the curriculum and the excellent teachers at Hidden Valley. They are preparing the kids to succeed in college. There will always be those that complain that HV is too hard, has too much homework, or too many classes required for graduation.... but you or your child will be left behind in this global economy if you wish for an easier 'ride'.
