OLV provides an excellent curriculum. The reading program is the same as the public schools have to offer & the math program is top notch as well. The school has a Spanish program for all grades & excellent art & music programs. The teachers use different teaching methods to keep the children interested with the most recent addition being Smart Boards for all classes to utilize. OLV is a very family oriented environment where all children are welcome & always encouraged to do their best. The extracurricular activities are also numerous including: basketball/cheerleading, chess club, newspaper, chorus & Willabees just to name a few. OLV is the place to be!
I highly recommend this school! The prinicpal is great and is always looking for ways to improve an already excellent environment. I am 100% confident that my children will test into honors courses in highschool. I know many kids who have graduated from highschool and are now thriving in college all from a great foundation. There is advanced reading and math and the teachers really care about teaching not just to a test. They go above and beyond teaching and try to instill values and talk about real life experience. This school doesn't pretend to be good, they are good! It's worth the money!
My son has been doing great at OLV. He is actually looking forward to school starting up again. The academics are top-notch and the teachers actually care about how he does. The extracurricular activities are low, but my so does not go to school to play sports, he goes to school to learn!!
My children have done very well in this school and I am quite happy with the direction that is now being taken by the administration. Academics are improving and morale is on its way up. I recommend it highly to any family seeking quality education in this area!!!
