I am a graduate from bghs 06 and very proud. I believe this school is great. So i agree maybe we do have some troubled students but its normal for any high school. I also agree that principal mr.Chavez is making a difference in the school. With his dedication bghs has been able to prove to many other schools that we are capable of meeting our goals. They have changed the school its a more welcoming enviroment for the new students...This school has changed very much...In regards to the teachers there is many that i would say where very supportive and helped me very much and still do even now that i am a student at long beach state..I i believe that no matter what school you go to. It could be the most ghetto school but if you are dedicated you will walk out very proud from whatever high school

I think bell gardens high school is a wonderful school it has changed drastically this past decade. there are new buildings a new track and a baseball field to be added soon. many of the previous reviews stated that it was a horrible school and that teacher's didnt care, but in reality they do, and the reason some students did not do so well was because they did not apply themselves and take advantage of what the school had to offer.

While it might have its troubled kids,a lot of them are interested in doing good in school. They are involved in a sport or something of that sort and are keeping up their grades. Its true BGHS doesnt get the credit it deserves, test scores have gone up in the recent years. The new principal Mr.Chavez has done a great job at bringing back the reputation BGHS once had. The teachers are wonderful as well.

Bell Gardens High School is a great school. Schurr HS recently made news by becoming one of Newsweeks top 500 high schools, but BGHS made that list 3 years ago and it has improved since then. BGHS is easily the best school in the Montebello Unified School District. The worst thing with BGHS is it's undeserved reputation. BGHS has 3,400 students and less than 100 that give it a bad reputation. If you check BGHS's test scores they have improved every year over the last five years, no other school in the MUSD can say that. BGHS also has an extemely challenging academic program with more AP courses than any other in the district. The new principal, Mr.Chavez, has been an outstanding addition that has finally provided the outstanding leadership BGHS deserves. Mr.Chavez is easily the best principal in the district.
