In regards to the previous posts several years ago, I would just like to make it clear things obviously have changed or something because I have two children at this school system. My oldest went to another local school for her first 4 years of school and this school is SO much better in all aspects. My husband and I both have average jobs, him even in a factory.....we dont have a 'great' last name but our kids receive the same care and attention as all the other kids. I feel if we would of stayed in the other school district, our kids would of been lost in the middle of the classrooms there. I feel at Ben Logan their needs are met individually and thoroughly.

i have been gong to this school since kindergarden and i believe that our school is very cheap. we get loads of money coming in because we are a very big school but for some reason all of the heaters in the class rooms send out cold air even in the winer. I also think that some of the teachers could be replaced. the teachers in the social studies area are the teachers that hardly teach students anything. in eighth grade i learned more about my teacher than i did the american civil war. all we did was listen to stories about the teacher and take test. for homework we had to take about three pages of notes every night just so that we could pass the daily test the next day.

I am very pleased with Ben Logan schools. I feel that they really work with all of the students to find their interests whether academic or athletic. I have 2 children attending Ben Logan; 1 good student and 1 average student. The teachers and staff have always made me feel that they are willing to go out of their way to help. Ben Logan is a progressive school that pushes the students, which is much needed in today's society. I understand the previous reviews regarding having a name in the district. At first I felt the same way, but after going to Meet the Teacher nights and letting the faculty know we want to be involved in our children's education we feel much better about the situation. Neither my husband or myself are business professionals just average working class.

being in the district for a long time, last name and the type of job the parents have will get your child a better education. if your parents are a labor, ( factory, grocery store, cleaning, ect ) your child will suffer and not get a good education, they will get the requirements by the state. Now if your parents are in the medical, political, or you parents work at the school your child will get the best education that is offered. Your need to look at each individual on the board and their back ground , they all have been on the board for a long time , and the problems still persist. I feel their needs to be new blood in the system. I wish people would run again them, instead of complaining about the problem.
