It is a wonderful school with great educational opportunities and exceptional athletics and music programs.
Now that two of my children have graduated I can express myself without fear of poor treatment. My oldest is quiet and kept to herself, had no problems. My middle child a good athlete & a smart child, therefore had no problems. My youngest child needed a little extra help learning, she was not accepted well by the staff or classmates. She hated school. I removed her from Napoleon HS and sent her to a charter school. She loves school again and is currently a 4.0 student. I should had pulled her years ago from the Napoleon Schools. Its a district problem not a high school. If your family is not liked well in the community your kids tend to get picked on and as mine did.
Im currently a student at Napoleon High School. I personally like this school although I must admit it is popularity based. The overall education is pretty good I think. We may be a small school but we have lots of great classes and sports to choose from.
I attended Napoleon from K-12, and currently have a sibling attending the High School. Things have not changed much since my days besides a few new teachers. Social life reigns supreme and sports are what matters most to this community. Being a former athlete I enjoyed the support of the community, but looking back feel too much emphasis is placed in this area. I currently teach and coach in an urban school district out of state. I wish I would have been exposed to my current situation as a youth, diversity is a great teacher. There are many great teachers at this school and the education is acceptable, graduates will be swamped if the level of college prep has not increased since my days however. Overall, this is a safe, who knows who, popularity driven school system, like many other small town schools. I would raise a family here.
