This is an important school in the community, helpful, friendly, and the pricipal is always visible in helping the students. I am so proud of our school, all four of my children attended. Two are there now, and the other two have gone on to Union Academy. Proud of the teachers, and staff, all of which are above standards in every way.
This school is great! All three of my sons have gone to this school and are doing great! The teacher's, staff, and principal are wonderful. Next fall my daughter will begin Kindergarten, there is no where else I would send her but Floral Avenue!
My grandchild started kindergarten at Floral. We have two local teachers in the family. We are used to being involved in our children's activities at school. We have found Floral to be very un-parent friendly and unwilling to allow us to volunteer at the school. It has been a very disappointing start compared to the involvement we have had with other schools in Polk County.
This is an excellent school. The teaching staff is wonderful. Sports and P.E. are fantastic. The staff really involves parents. The level of communication between teachers and parents on a daily basis is very high. A parent teacher communicator is sent home everyday so the parents know day to day how their child is doing. As far as safety goes I feel this is one of the safest schools for my children. Staff is outside at the parent drop off and pick up area. There is no less than three staff members personally helping your child in and out of the car and seeing them safely inside the school and back to the car at the end of the day. Parents are given a sticker to put up in their car that identifies their child. I actually moved to this area because of the reputation of this school.
