I graduated in 2005 and enjoyed this school. It prepared me for college adequately, and my AP exam results got me 6credits at Kutztown. Very little could be done to make this school better. Like all schools some teachers will be better or worse than others. Not culturally diverse but that's ok with me.

I am an alumni of SLHS and was disappointed by the lack of assistance the school district gave to students who were not your cookie cutter southern lehigh student (ie white, decently wealthy althetic students). I felt judged and was disgusted by several occaisions when I witnessed the school covering up discipline areas instead of dealing with them. I did feel safe there, and recieved a mediocre education but feel they do not challenge the students unless they are enrolled in 'advanced' classes. Also felt they did not support extracurricular activities that were not football, field hockey or other 'traditional' high school sports. All in all, it's an alright school, but they seemed a little too ok with letting a LOT of students 'fall through the cracks'

The administration staff at the high school seem to only worry about discipline and don't recognize the better students. Their is no senior class recognition. When it comes to the financial matters of the school, I would consider it a rip off. The district parents give a lot to the school, but the school does not treat students fairly.

Southern Lehigh doesn't support their extracurricular activities(No locker room for track, lacrosse or football). Southern Lehigh School District often declines parent involvement that would enhance the students' experience. They seem to micro discipline good kids. Many classes do not have text books for each student.
