This school allows your child to work at their own pace; while still working on social and life skills. They are provided and taught independence while still being loved and cared for. The before and after school care is WONDERFUL and one of the main reasons that we decided this school was the right one for our children. Our son in K is socializing with peers while working in math at the 2nd grade level and 4th in reading. This school is extremely well balanced for all children and none of the children are aware of different ability levels, just that they are unique and special individuals.

My son went here from pre-K to 1st grade. We only left for financial reasons, the school was great and I wish he could have continued there. We adored the teachers and so did my son. To the point I admit I was a bit jealous at how he idolized his favorite teacher. Well that, and a lot of the kids leave after kindergarten which means the kids are dealing with more goodbyes than they would at a public school, but that's not the school's fault. The after-school childcare is great because it's an as-needed, charged only for the time you use it -whether that's every day until you're off work or once all year for a doctor's appointment.

My son has been at Capital Montessori for over a year now, including the summer, and I can't say enough good things about it. They offer many different learning opportunities, and take wonderful field trips. The tools in the classroom are great, and I feel that my son has grown so much in this environment; I don't feel that he would have learned near as much if he had attended public school. I'm hoping that the enrollment increases enough to have the school extend the classes; I'm at a loss as to where to go after this! It can't get much better. The teachers are great, and the parents really seem to care about the experience their children are going through.
