The principal is outstanding and cares about not only our kids who we intrust in her care, but she cares about her staff. And it shows in the enthusiasm of both teachers and kids to keep our country competitive on the world stage.
In our personal opinion, this school is not motivated in helping Students. The concern seems to be more about the Staff than the Students. On the first day, dozens of Students were left without a last period class. How is this acceptable? Perhaps if the School would have been open all of last week, after a long summer break, this could have been noted prior to the first day.

Solanco High School is my home. I love this school and wouldn't want to be anywhere else. The teachers are caring and want to see you do good. Our sports teams have had success in the last few years and the school spirit is at an all time high. The PSSA scores are very good and we have a high % of above proficent test scores.

My experience with Solanco High School has been mostly positive. I feel that the guidance counselors, specifically, really reach out to parents and students to help prepare them for college. I have been sent information about programs, courses and scholarship opportunities without asking. My son has access to AP courses and dual enrollment classes. (Much more that I ever received at my high school) My only negative comment would be that a few teacher my child has had were not very good. After dealing with these teachers, I finally gave up. I do recommend to other parents that they should not let their children take that teachers' class. Otherwise, I am completely happy with this high school.
