I absolutely love this school! My kids are getting an excellent education and the teachers and principal really care about the kids. I love the small class sizes and the way they teach the kids to respect and care about each other as well. My kids know that they are expected to do their best and have been shown how to study. I feel comfortable when I drop my kids off in the morning knowing they are safe and that they are being taught to really give 100% effort, becuase that will help them be successfull later in life and that is what I want for them. The principal is really straight forward, and if you go in to talk with her she will tell you the truth, not just what she thinks you want to hear. I really like that.
My child has made great progress through the efforts of the gifted teachers of Holy Family School. However, the new principal is not in touch with what is really important in a school, the students. Principal has a closed-door policy not an open door policy and refuses to take or return phone calls. If you are thinking about having your child attend Holy Family School, I would reconsider while this principal maintains her authority.
Do not enroll your child in this school. Many are leaving and they cut important programs. The Board and the principal are making decisions without involving parents. This school has lost the 'family' environment that was so important before.
My daughter attends this school in the second grade. The expectations of the administration are high. My daughter is reading well beyond her level and so are many of the children in her room. In the public school my daughter had a tough time due to this because she was so advanced. The parents at this school are really involved and it is very much like a large family atmosphere. I highly recommend this school.
