Mills Elementary is an excellent school because is promotes every schild regardless of grade levels excell at whatever they do. They have many after school programs that fit every childs interest. They staff is phenominal and knows all the students regardless of if they have them in class. They genuinely care about my childs education.
My son will be a 3rd grader in the fall of 2007 at Mills. The last 3 years of him going to this school have been just short of amazing! The teachers are up on all the new teaching methods and do everything to make sure your child succeeds. We just received grants last year to start some awesome after school clubs that are a big hit with the kids. (Writing Club, Candy factory, Hip Hop for Health, Robotics and many more) We do need more parent involvement. The PTA members care present for all the after school programs but we need more daytime parent participation. I see the hard work my sons teachers do and try my hardest to do things to make their job easier. Teachers love the help and my son sees that I am a part of his education. I love this school and everyone in it!
