Joseph O. Goodwin School

I feel this is a great school because the staff and principal are caring and want the best for every child at the school. They are approachable, and go above, and beyond, especially if you have a special needs child. I would highly recommend this school to anyone.

My son has been attending Goodwin for 4 years and my daughter for 2, and my family and I think that Goodwin is amazing. My children have done great and are constantly being challanged. The teachers are incredible. They are all so caring and approachable. The principle is very involved and is always around. He knows the students and the parents. And all of the support staff there is amazing and they all work together to ensure that everything runs like it should. I think that Goodwin is the best school in East Hartford by far.

I think Joseph O. Goodwin School is an excellent school. Of course you are going to have a teacher who seems like a lone star; however, you can't punish the others who a fantastic! I have two kids in that school and they now have Mrs.Gianni and Mrs. Kowal and they are fabulous. Last year they had Mrs. Oulette and Mrs. Jordan and Gould. At any school I think being involved is they key to knowing what your child is capable of and what the teacher at the time can offer.

I am not happy with the school overall. The school surely lacks in technology. They seemed very concerned about CMT's. Don't let those results fool you. I give the school a grade 2.
