I'm not only a parent of a child who attends there but I also work there. It is a great school with great teachers and a wonderful environment. It is also keeping up with technology and the growing community by remodeling and adding on.
This school has excellent teachers! Students can succeed if they want to, I have yet in the six years our family has been at this school, to meet a teacher unwilling to got the extra mile to help a student. They also have wonderful teaching ideas and really think 'outside the box' when choosing teachingt techniques, nothing is ever boring or mundane here!! That being said, the principals leave much to be desired. They are very difficult to communicate, for both parents and kids. They seem to use the react first and ask questions later approach. There is no room for any kind of compromise on ANY issue. Although they do have positives they tend to really worry about things that are not and should not be an issue.

This school + it's staff are doing a fine job of raising decent, respectful, dependable young adults. Mr. Welter is the first to show respect + helps EVERY student build his/her future. Just look at the GOLD STAR teachers, and other awards this staff has been awarded! The thing I like best is that each student is held accountable for his/her actions, either good or bad. These students are well-prepared for the future.

Part of the excellence in this school is the proactive approach to disipline issues and classroom behavior. Also rather than let homework issues slide to the point of failure the staff works with parents & the ECHOES program to head off potential issues. The same vice principal is there now as was when I attended. If a child is in his office, he/she is there for a good reason. He may be tough but fair.
