Discovery has the best teachers. The curriculm allows students to learn about things they are interested in. Math and science is taught in a way that encourages questions and creativity. Students love to learn and realize they are ultimately the ones who are responsible for their learning.
We have children who love to learn with a staff that nurtures them and each other. The children are self reliant and enthusiastic and a joy to be with. It is a vibrant community.
We empower children to be learners, and to take responsibility within a supportive and active learning community, where both children and adults enjoy discovering.
This is our daughter's second year at Discovery. We appreciate the philosophy as well as the teachers and school head's willingness to learn and grow from experience. The rigidity of a Montessori didn't work for our daughter and we have been extremely happy with the opportunity for our daughter to become her own person.
