Hello, I'm a student in Harper Park Middle School I'm in ESL and as you see my English is better. Before I couldn't write much or knew so much about it, now i know a lot and this school is really good i give it all stars
Love, love, love this school! Administration is excellent; it shows in the happiness of students, parents, teachers, assistants, cafeteria and custodial staff. I often say that the staff seems ready to break into song at any moment! Of course, there are a few parents that have had issues, but what school can make every single parent happy? I find the atmosphere warm, engaging, energetic and, most importantly, geared to giving the students the best education possible. Great extra-curricular activities: sports, drama, music, educational...the list goes on and on. The teachers seem to want to actually be there as opposed to just getting a check. Great behavior from students: the rules are clear and concise and students know in advance what the consequences are when violating a school policy. Discipline is handled firmly but fairly and seems to be uniform. Very active PTA, with interesting and informative meetings. In a nutshell: excellent!!

Hello, I am a student in the 7th grade at Harper Park. I have to say that Harper is the best school I've ever gone to. It can be very perfessional when it needs to be but there is deffinently a good balance between work and fun. There are also so great programs in the music department. The extracurricular activities are fantasic also. They have a competition Step Team, exellent music departments and pretty much everything else. I give my highest regards to the staff at Harper. They are always there to help you succeed and they are also there to help you with any other problems. I find talking to any of the staff members about anything. Once again i give all of my highest regards to Harper Park Middle School. Sending you kid there would be very good for them. Thank you.

Excellent leadership with the Principle and Assistant principles. Demonstrated with his sincerity to include parents and every child into an activity or interest. Very well organized and professional. Communication is excellent - teachers respond to email instantly, homework hotline available daily, progress reports in middle of the quarter. Teachers work as teams to discuss educational goals/students. Seem fair and want for kids to succeed. Student/teacher ratio currently excellent, about 18;1. Science and history seem rich. Not much homework, even for all honors classes. Lots of opportunity to get help, study hall, etc. On the negative, teachers are so business oriented, about half lack approachability, which is crucial for this age group. Language arts is not very rich, in the first two months, I don't know of any specific writing project or piece of literature they have studied. Enrichment assemblies are non-existent or basic public school stuff. Bus behavior is a real
