Do not consider this school if you have honor students or students with special needs. They can deal with average high school students and the small atmosphere is OK, but students above or below average is where you will experience difficulty. They lack some of the opportunities and resources that other schools in the county offer as well. We transferred from another school in the county not expecting such a drastic change.
JHS is a small school where everybody knows each other. The sense of the small, tight knit community brings everyone together. The teachers at JHS do a nice job of showing the students that they do truly care about them and are there for them. My math teacher won the Wal-Mart Teacher of the Year Award my senior year. JHS provides its students with a positive learning environment and a variety of activities to make every student be apart of the community.

I liked the fact that no matter how bad I or my fellow students acted and/or how badly we did on tests the faculty never gave up on us. They provided us with an education that would prepare us (the students) for the future. JHS would prepare you for a university by letting you choose classes that benefit your college/professional career. JHS also provided a smooth transition into community college; such as college credit through high school courses. Or how about allowing students to commute to other schools for extended trade based learning. Not to mention JHS' amazing graphics department and their fun athletic events. I will be graduating at my university soon and once I start a family I will hopefully be able to send my children to JHS.
