My son just transfered to Carmel Ele. From Woosstock Ele. (he's been at Carmel about a month now) and He loves it. The teachers and other staff are Wonderful and very nice!! Thank you Carmel ele. for making my son's Kindergarden year Great!
This is my son's first year at carmel (kindergarden). He loves going to school. He has excelled academically and is reading quite well. The teachers are absolutely fantastic! they really care how a child does and wants to see them succeed. The principal (dr. Hunt) is very involved and encourages parents to be involved at whatever level they can. The office staff and nurses are excellent and very friendly. The teachers are very accessible and welcome open communication, they all have email and respond back in a very timely fashion. My son is enjoying the 'family' track in this school as next year his teacher will know him and he will know her so there this will hopefully reduce the adjustment period that all children face starting a new school year. This is an excellent school and i would recommend it to anyone. Only good things to say!
Both my 5 year old and my 6 year old are attending Carmel Elementary, they both have exceeded in academic. My Kindergartner has learned addition, subtraction,money counting, and she is beginning to read on her own. My six year old started first grade at Carmel. It's now the end of the school year and I can't tell you how much she has learn. She is reading and started doing fractions on Math. I am very pleased with this school also to staff is very pleasant. Thanks
The overall school is good and the teachers and staff are very friendly. However the teachers need to think more of the student & let the parents know if our children are truly prepared to move on to the next grade or if they are just moving on to be moved on. This I have found is extreamly damaging to our children because they are not prepared for the next grade and for each year that passes, the worse it gets.
