My daughter started her Sophomore year, the first year the school opened, against her will. Her whole heart was at Ridgeview where she had gone Freshman year. She is now a Junior. I am so thankful for the opportunies she has had at Independence High that she would not have had anywhere else in town. The teaching staff though small the first year was great...and continues to be!!! My daughter soon realized that her High School years were not ruined by changing schools but were enhanced...she loves it and is involved in sports and has been pushed further in her classes from taking the college prep classes to now being in Gate, Honors and now AP classes...way to go Independence staff!!!!

i went to this school last year as a freshman and it was amazing, i wish i could go back but my parents moved me out of state, this school was fun, friendly, and the teachers actually cared about their students, and the sports were great too, most of the teams won league champs!

i went last year. and i am devistated that i cant go this year..i wish for anything to be able to go back. the school im at now is old and ugly and athe kids are unfriendly and the staff is even more mean to the extent of me wanting to die. i wish i could go back
It is clean, safe, they have a grat academic program, many club and social events, great sport teams and a Great staff!!
