I am a parent and my child and I love Verdugo Hills senior high school. My child started classes at verdugo in his jr year after attending private school most of his life. We could not afford the private school any longer so sent him to our local High School. We had so many fears, like will he be safe, will he have a quality education. Since he has attended he has been challenged, and has accountability, by his teachers. He is doing well. As for the safety part, it really is up to the students to make good choices, and chose there friends wisely. Many of the teachers on campus let students sit in classes to eat lunch, play board games, or catch up on homework, during recess or lunch. Teachers are special people and they don't deserve the adverse remarks, comments, or action that is often directed at them.

Principal and teachers are too relaxed, no guidance, no standards, no school pride! Other than that it's just a regular school. I went here 14 years ago and now I work for LAUSD. I have seen the school go down hill since Dr. Turner left.

well overall i think the school is great i went to private school called skyward christian for 6 years and it got so bad i turned to verdugo and i think by far it is the best school the sheduale is great and the teachers are very nice and understanding and they really get in touch with the students and the school tries to help you as much as possible with graduating and things like that and not only that they try to help you after highschool to and you get a lot of oppertunitys you would not get at other schools and you have fun well doing all that.i think its great
