Homestead has great, caring and hard working staff. I could not choose a better school for my child.

My children went to this school in it's second year open. It has always been a quality neighborhood school. The teachers have been exceptional then and now. My children excelled in that school and are now all college graduates. I feel that the years that they attended Homestead Elementary School helped shape them for all of their future successes.

The children love their school. My granddaughter in first grade tells me "we don't do work; we do "fun work". The one on one interest shown to each child is wonderful. The volunteer support system is great.

Homestead is an excellent school! All students receive quality reading, writing and math instruction, as well as a high emphasis of the arts (music, art, physical education, library/computer skills). Homestead also emphasizes social studies and science instruction and character education. Parent support is amazing! Classrooms have Smartboard technology, clickers, document cameras...the latest technology to prepare our students to be successful in high school and college. The staff is very knowledgeable and they care for the whole child.
