Our son just started Kindergarten at Carl B. Munck and we're pleased with the warm and welcoming school community. Great teachers and a growing PTA and a very inclusive philosophy when it comes to student needs and differences.

Carl B. Munck has the best programs for after school. It is academically and atheletically gear. And open for all students. This program is not full funded and parents help out as much as possible.

My daughter is finishing up her sixth year at Carl B. Munck. Overall, my wife and I have been very pleased with the education she has received since Kindergarten. Our school has a staffed library, Computer Center and computers in almost every class roon as well, Chess Club, multiple grade level afterschool programs, on site speech counselor and 4 day a week sociologist. We are one of the more fortunate elementary schools in the Oakland school district. To achieve the maximum from this or any school, parental participation is almost mandatory. Our PTA puts on various events during the school year and it help bring together the school community which has more than 50% of it's students coming from non-local neighborhoods in Oakland. Our state test achievement scores are just below 800 and everyone expects the school to reach that benchmark in the next year or two. A chool to consider.

This is one of the better schools of Oakland. The staff is great! Teachers, parents, and staff are all very involved. Munck has so much to offer and have great afterschool programs. It is very diverse. You won't be dissapointed, here at Munck.
