My daughter enjoys the ARK and I am always impressed with the number of quality hands-on projects. Kids do not get enough opportunity to learn through art and to be creative these days, but they seem to paint something everyday at the ARK:) They send home lots of school news about special activities/ARK happenings, but do feel they miss the boat in communicating with parents about their child's strengths/weaknesses. Last year had just one conference mid year where I received a checklist type report and did not even recieve anything at the end of the year as an update on progress. I also think that they need to get with the technology times and at least have emails for communicating with teachers and the director. Class size is ideal (# of students), even though facility is small. I do recommend the ARK!
The Ark is an extremely well run preschool. Excellent communication between the administration/teachers and parents. My son attended the school for 1-1/2 years and had some special needs. The administration was very helpful in guiding us to the appropriate outside resources. We live out of state now and my son is in first grade. Looking back, I realize how warm and caring the staff were and I have yet to find a school with such excellent administration.
This is a wonderful preschool environment. The teachers are supportive, creative and do a great job. I think the preschool is run very well and nice caring environment. My son was there for 2 years and enjoyed going to school and learning. I'd recommend it.
