I love this school because of the low student to teacher ratio. The atmosphere at the school makes the children want to go and do well. It allows my child to get the attention he needs to do well in his subjects. The kids and the faculty seem to get along so well. They have very talented kids that gives their best performance in whatever they are doing.
We started in 8th grade at DSA and are now in 12th and last year. I have seen the teachers and staff make the best of limited and sometimes no resources. They encourage the students to stay focus and to do your best no matter what. This has led to honors and awards on top of honors and awards. And all due to hard work, self motivation, and a true family atmosphere. The students are taught to be flexible but stay focused. We are so blessed to have had the opportunity to have attended this school. I will truly miss DSA and the DSA family/teachers/staff/parents.
DSA is awesome! The administration, teachers, students and parents are the best in the state and nation. DSA has received numerous awards and honors, most recently: 2009 National Blue Ribbon School and State Superintendent Distinguished School for Exceeding Achievement Scores on EOCT: 9th and 11th Literature, Physical Science and Economics (Economics #1 in the state!!), and GHSGT for English Language Arts!!! . DSA is not just an awesome academic institution, its a close-knit family of administration, teachers, students( the most talented actors, singers, dancers, musicians, artists, ) and parents, all working together to acheive excellence in all that they do!
