I would love to speak with whoever wrote the May 2007 review. Please contact me. I can assure you that we take every thing quite seriously. I would argue that excellent teachers and a top notch academic program can't coexist with an administration that is too tolerant of serious behavioral issues. I appreciate all feedback, even when it is negative. I can't change things, or at least perceptions, without a conversation. We will have some openings on the school accountability committee in the fall. There we could look at the 'serious issues,' and you could find out what we are, or are not doing.

Altona is such a great school. The teachers and staff are helpful and encouraging. The principal, (an ex-marine) is strict but nice, kind, and funny. The students are kept on track with their homework by Homework Club if they fall behind so you can't get away with not finishing homework and you get to have a nice chat with the vice principal if you don't go. Way to go Altona! Rattler Pride!

The math teachers in this school are excellent. The principal encourages his teachers to try non-traditional methods for teaching (seems to be working in the math department.)
