West Chatham Elementary School

I love West Chatham Elem. The teachers are awesome and the staff is accommodating. I have my children on restricted release due to fear of their father taking them out of school without my knowledge, and they have been very strict about who my children can be released to. My only complaint has nothing to do with the school directly, it is with the buses and their scheduling difficulties. But the principle has been very pro-active about getting that straight. We are not a rich family by any means, and the staff at the school have been very accepting of that matter. They have helped us with uniforms and last Christmas my children's names were placed on the Angel Tree. The volunteers who buy the gifts for the children were the angels. Without them my children wouldn't have had a Christmas because I couldn't afford it. Thank God 4 them!

have been involved in pta and as a volunteer since my oldest son started there six years ago,now my liile one is in second grade and we still love it....our principal and teachers are excellent trying to help everychild to acchieve their best .....parent/school communication is awesome ...a happy safe place to send my child to

I've always thought highly of West Chatham. The teachers and staff have all been very accommodating and professional. Students seem to really get a good education, especially in 3rd grade. Tammy and the other teachers seem to really know their work and try hard to make it interesting for students

I have to say that we really like West Chatham Elementary. My son is a vegetarian and brings his own lunch and he is never told he can't bring his beloved PB&J (where he gets his daily protein). The staff and administration have always been super pleasant and understanding. His teachers so far have been top drawer. We took our son out of private school and put him here so that he wasn't part of the elitest cliques in town. He gets a more realistic and diverse background at West Chatham. He is also in the gifted program at school and loves it.
