I also thin portal elementary is doing a great job. My child is in kindergarden and her teacher mrs. mallard has teached her a lot. She can read a short book at 5 years old wich i think is fantastic all thanks to her teacher at PES. I am very pleased with the teachers and the pricipal. Keep up the great work.
PES is the best! Wanted to move for better housing and jobs, but stayed because the school does such a fantastic job. The only problem at PES is excessive absenteeism by too many students. That problem can't be the fault of the school. My kids can't wait to get to school in the mornings - they'd have to be severely ill to stay home. They also use every excuse to stay as late as possible. Congratulations and my deepest gratitude to Principle Paul Hudson, Asst. Principle MacGruder, all the teachers, and the entire staff!
