Every school has problems, no person or organization is perfect. I am glad the school is strict; children today need to be taught discipline and the school administration should never fear a child. My son has been attending Yargo since Kindergarten and he loves it. The teachers are always available to meet with me regarding academic struggles with my child and together we have come up with a solution to help him succeed.
I am not quite sure what school the negative reviews are writing about. My second grader has had the best school year ever. The teachers are very in tune with students, lots of smile hugs and yes discipline. I go to the school often (it is encouraged)for lunch, school events and just to see how things are going. I have never been turned away. You do have to sign in at the office and wear a visitor badge. It is for safety and I for one appreciate that. I would not dare hesitate to recommend Yargo. We have been involved with 'bottom of the barrel' schools and this is not one of them

my daughter has attended since kindergarten and is now in 3rd grade. All of her teachers have been very kind and loving and good at creating a positive learning environment. They are great about meeting with parents and really letting them know how their child is doing. They also take the time to get to know the child--you can tell when you have parent conferences with the teachers. The principal, Mr. Carnathan, is a very pleasant, effective, caring but firm administrator. My wife and I are overall extremely happy with our child's education at Yargo Elementary.
