Compared to my freshman counterparts in college, I was years beyond them in education and life experience
I just wanted to say to the parents who said, send in a check and you wont be punished clearly is unaware of how our administration works. out discipline and honor councils make sure that students learn from their mistakes and nothing is slipped under the rug. A couple years ago i came to FA in 9th grade from a local public school i hated. The social environment was great. I didn't have to worry about fitting into clicks or any of that crap. In general everyone is so considerate of each other. It is an expensive school i admit and thats hard when you are not a very well of family, but through financial aide i get the opportunity to enjoy the education I need to get ahead.
I think that this is the best school that I have ever gone to. I've been at this school for 13 years, PK-Junior year, which I'm in now. I plan on coming back for my Senior year. At FA you get challenged in many of the courses that you take and you shouldn't expect it to be easy. The teachers will work with you if you're having trouble and I definitely benefited from that. The colleges that our graduated students have gotten into show how well the students teach. It's also a great atmosphere for you to make friends. Contrary to what people believe most of the students at the school aren't rich and we're not snobbish. Our parents just want us to get the best education and if it costs a lot then they'll find a way to pay for it. Definitely send your student to FA.
As a former teacher at FA, I would like to say that the education offered at FA is truly oustanding. The teachers and administrators care, the parents are involved, and the students become integral members of this academic community. I would suggest that any family moving the the Fredericksburg area seriously consider the option of having their child attend FA.
