I am a graduate of CCHS. Cumberland Country High school has its ups and downs like any other school. I believe there was not as much educational opportunity there as compared so some other schools in other counties. However, with the right teachers, and the right classes, a student can be well prepared for higher education. The advanced courses were well taught, and I feel challenged me enough to be ready for college.

I too worried about the lack of diversity, having moved my child from a much larger city (out of state) that had a much more diverse community, but my child adjusted just fine at CCHS. We too liked the block schedule, it does allow for a lot of material to be covered, but as a parent, I miss the homework, I would like a chance to better 'see' the progress of my child's day-to-day work. Cumberland County is facing a dilemma in the upcoming school year with the addition of Stone Memorial High, I'm praying this does not split the community into the 'have's' and 'have-not's. Good luck Crossville!
