I find that Freer is a wonderful school; we considered on moving, but we decided not to because of the wonderful teachers. My son is in the Second grade and is excelling every year with the help of his teachers; (Mrs. Greer) she is great for teaching the children how to read. I am in pure amazement on a weekly basis how much better my sons reading skills are.

Teachers do not have a good understanding of dealing ADHD and/or learning disabilities. Too much emphasis is put into medicating children instead of understanding the disabilities and making classroom/assignment accomodations. Constant parental intervention is recommended to ensure they are providing the services these children need...they will not offer these services freely...they have to be forced!

My child has Asperger's syndrome, ADD/ADHD and anxiety disorder. The school does not know alot about Autism Spectrum Disorders and how to handle it. Mrs. Wagner (K) is the best for this. The school does not understand all the needs of a special child with developmental disablities and a high IQ.
