Excellent school for those in a disadvantaged area. The leadership is strong at the administrative level. For it to be rated only 4 out of 10 stars is a testament to the ignorance of those who have no business rating a school in the first.
The only problem I have with this school is that the awards ceremony for my kids is always held in the morining and unlike some parents, my husband and I work and can never attend these ceremonies. It is a shame !!!!!

Although the Fine Arts academy has many programs within the curriculum, the students don't recieve full academic education through their core casses. Rather than concentrating on the essentials of a good education such as math, reading, and science, the school concentrates on dancing and artistic talents which will only develope a students ability in the short run. If you want your child to have a good college preparation, the Academy would not be a great choice in academic sucess.

Edgewood Academy, is a great school, for those future dancers, and singers, and edven movie stars. Here, they preform, and are taught everything that a regular school, would teach, like math, read, etc. Yes, our school might not have sports, or cheerleading, but the dance, music, communication and other classes make up for that. This is the absolute best school, for my daughters.
