I may not be a parent of a student at St. Joseph School, but I see the benefits of an art integrated curriculum. Teachers work on more creative ways to get each lesson to stick in the child's mind. The art teacher is willing to work with the teachers on projects that are part of each classroom. The small class sizes are great for the teacher. They are able to attend to every child's need. The student's test scores show the quality education each child recieves. Where education is a work of art!
I have had personal issues with st joseph school and they are not what they seem to be! It might be one on one attention but when the teacher doesnt have patience it's not exactly pleasent!I am sending my son to the school to learn about our family RELIGION , NOT to PRISON! To give a Kindergartner 'detention' is beyond me! When I was in K I can remember haveing show n' tell once a month and loving my teacher as if she was a grandmother figure, my son is so afraid to talk to me about school or any issues that go on because I feel he is brain washed, the ONLY thing he has learnd about his religion thus far is Prayers.I think the schools should review their teachers better!
SJS is a wonderful place to be! With their arts integration approach all children have the opportunity to shine! The staff recently was awarded 'Teachers of distinction' and they deserve it, they are wonderful. The small class size gives each child the benefit of one on one attention. This is a great school for children in K-8 and their academic scores reflect it! The parish supports the school whole-heartedly and the various school & parish organizations support the staff & students. We have a fantastic facility; with a great art room, theatre room, computer lab and library. We educate the total person, mind body and spirit! St. Joseph School where education is a work of art!
