My daughter is in Kindergarten at South Street and Mrs. Lowe is a wonderful teacher and does a great job teaching my daughter. However, the administration needs improvement and the secretary is usually rude and grumpy.
This school has a lot of excellent teachers who take the initiative to go the extra mile for their students, however the administration of this school needs a lot of work. The teachers don't have authority to make decisions regarding discipline. The administration does not have the same rules for everyone. It's based on who your family is in the community, your family background i.e divorced, parents education and job.
My child is a straight 'A' student in the third grade and loves going everyday. Kudos to the teaching staff at VIS !
My daughter has kept an A - B average and just loves going to school at VIS every day! They do a wonderful job!!
