I am currently a student at Dekalb High School. I think the teachers here are pretty good. I have learned a lot these last couple of years. Recently I learned that we are not allowed to have holes in our jeans this year. Normally I wouldn't have a problem with this rule. The only thing that upsets me is that I didn't know of this new rule until I had already went school shopping. Most of the jeans at stores already have holes in them and so it is annoying that we can no longer wear the new jeans we bought to school. This is not a big deal though, I just wish students, like me, could know about changing rules ahead of time. Overall, I think DeKalb has a good learning environment and I am happy to be a student of DeKalb High School!

This school has done a lot for me only in my freshman year here at DHS! It offers a lot of oppertunities for many types of shcolarships, jobs, community activities, sports, and many other great things. I love the educational expierience here at DeKalb High School:)
The MiddleSchool is greta have been doing a wonderful job with my daughters first yr. Is an issue with the neighboring high school though. There is a sherrif stationed there who seems amused with HARRASEING parents..Mind your step just driving into that parking lot@!@!

DeKalb is horable school. The teachers are so easly distracted its no wondeer the childrens test scores are so low. The principals dont care about the students alls they care about is if the children take food and drinks out of the commons. DeKalb also plays favorits to the jocks, preps, and rich kids, they dont care about the 'normal' kids. If you ever go there and just look around you will see kids getting bullyedbecause they donot fit in to the three favorite grups. The L.D. children are picked on and teased and bulled by the favorits and when you try and tell a teacher or someone with higher athority the kids only get a slap on the hand and get told dont do it again, like that would help make it a better learning enviremant.
