I personally am appalled by the lack of effort put forth at this school. I have never had an English class where we had no Vocabulary books. There is nothing done at this school to help prepare you to take your SAT s. But, I am mostly disappointed by the lack of encouragement. This school stresses graduation. The students are never encouraged to set high goals and attend college. The teachers waste large amounts of time, dragging out short assignments, and rarely actually teaching.
I have been teaching at BCHS for two years, and I love teaching at this school!! I'm not a Brantley County native, but I love the students and the community. This school has an atmosphere of learning, love, and support that I believe is missing in most school systems today. It is a family.

I'm a graduate of the Class of 2003. When I attended school there, all of the teachers and staff members were very helpful. If I had a problem, I could go to any one of them and receive the help that I needed. None of the staff members there were ever rude or inconsiderate. I'm proud to call myself a graduate of Brantely County High. Even-though I am stationed here at Fort Benning, Ga., I still continue to cheer my hometown high school on to victory.
